For this member meeting, we will hear an update from Dr. Lindsay Pelley with Pure Life Clinic - our chiropractor member. The presentation will focus on hEDS - see the overview below!

Hypermobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) is a genetic connective tissue disorder that causes joints to be excessively flexible, often leading to pain, and frequent subluxations. Chiropractors play a valuable role in this management typically focusing on mitigation of symptoms and improving the quality of life through adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and strengthening exercises to support the joints and muscles around them. Lifestyle modifications, ergonomic advice, and specific stretches and exercises to reduce strain on hypermobile joints to prevent injury is key.
